Old kirk single barrel
So, what is Old Kirk? Rumor has it (although has not been definitively confirmed by us, at least) that this is not other than Willett “purple top” in disguise. Apparently, Willett allocated a barrel of whiskey to a project that did not pan out and they believed they could not release it under their own brand. So they have sold it to the highest bidder.

Another clue that it might indeed be Willett’s juice is that the mash bill on these is 72% corn, 13% rye, and 15% barley which is one of Willet’s mash bills. Fantastic nose, above-average taste, and a medium-long finish. Very good pour gets better as it opens up.
