HIGH WIRE DISTILLING COMPANY NEW SOUTHERN REVIVAL JIMMY RED BOURBON WHISKEY FINISHED IN OLOROSO SHERRY CASKS

Charleston’s High Wire Distilling Co. will release two special whiskey expressions: their flagship Jimmy Red Bourbon finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks and a Rye Whiskey finished in Tawny Port Barrels. This one, in particular, is Jimmy Red Bourbon Finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks, which is offered at 93 proof. To make this one-of-a-kind spirit, the distillery finished their beloved 30 month old Jimmy Red Bourbon for an additional 6 months in fresh 225L Oloroso Sherry casks. The nose is sherry-forward with nutty cashew and cinnamon spice. Tasting notes include brown sugar, maple, gingerbread, graham cracker, light baking spice, and dried fruit with a caramel finish.
