The 8th release of heavily peated Edradour single malt released under the Ballechin name, which comes from a long-closed nearby distillery. For the 8th release, Edradour matured the smoky, peaty whisky in Sauternes wine casks, which should be intriguing – the balance between sweetness and peatiness is often rather exciting, if quite tough to get just right.
