Alon Kura wines come from Mendoza, Argentina. The Mendoza Province is one of Argentina’s most important wine regions, accounting for nearly two-thirds of the country’s entire wine production. Located in the eastern foothills of the Andes, in the shadow of Mount Aconcagua, vineyards are planted at the some of the highest altitudes in the world with the average site located 1,970–3,610 feet (600–1,100 meters) above sea level. Malbec is the region’s most important planting followed closely by Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Chardonnay. Mendoza is considered the heart of the winemaking industry in Argentina with the vast majority of large wineries located in the provincial capital of Mendoza
TASTING NOTES
FOOD PAIRING
We have found that Bonarda seems to match very nicely with most food pairings due to the fruity flavours found inside the bottle. For instance, Bonarda will match very well with pretty much all types of meat, such as all red meats, pork, and lamb. You could pair Bonarda wine all the way from a creamy rosemary pasta to a braised roast beef, with everyone at the table experiencing different flavours coming out of the wine and food, resulting in a complete state of bliss and satisfaction
